The Cloud Nine Original Iron remains a current core product rather than a discontinued legacy model. It now sits beside newer Contouring Original and Contouring Wide designs with more curved plates and premium presentation, but the standard Original keeps the features that matter most to many buyers: eleven selectable temperatures from 100°C to 200°C, a digital display and a conventional one-inch plate format. This makes it materially more flexible than straighteners locked to a single 185°C setting, especially for fine, bleached, fragile or menopause-affected hair that may style effectively at lower heat.
The correct temperature is not determined by texture alone. Chemical treatment, porosity, previous damage, section size and styling frequency all matter, so the sensible approach is to begin low and increase only if a clean pass cannot be achieved.
