How we review products and services

Our editorial method separates evidence, buying advice and commercial relationships.

Research and evidence

We begin with official product or provider information and published specifications or plan terms. We then consider credible independent coverage, recurring ownership concerns and the practical differences that affect a buying decision.

  • Product or service purpose and intended user
  • Important specifications, plan terms and limitations
  • Ease of ownership, cancellation or maintenance
  • Value relative to comparable options
  • Availability and model or plan clarity

Hands-on testing

Where MainBuyer has not conducted hands-on testing, the page is labelled as a research-based assessment. Tested products and services will be identified separately and the testing method will be explained.

Evidence standards

Important factual claims should be traceable to official documentation, recognised standards or credible independent evidence. We distinguish those sources from MainBuyer's own editorial interpretation.

Corrections and updates

Products, prices, catalogues, plans and availability change. We update pages when reliable new information becomes available and welcome factual correction requests.
